Hey there!

What a few months it's been. I know I've been MIA for a while, but let me tell you, it's with good reason. But that's neither here nor there. I am writing to share some excellent news: Revolution Among the Stars, the sequel to Missing Among the Stars is nearing completion! I have set a release date of July 31, 2025, however, I do reserve the right to push it back if it needs more time, but I am confident I will make that date.

Where have you been?

Well, that's a loaded question. But I've been busy with life, lots of things keep changing in my personal life and I had to take a step back but I plan to ramp everything back up. For some updates, I've been promoted at my day job which means more work and less writing time to my detriment, but I do love my day job (I am an attorney). I've been planning trips with friends and my partner. Oh! I also have been focusing on some physical health stuff which has been nice. And cooking!

What have you been working on?

Great question. Right now, I have a new series that I am planning on writing, but before I start on that, I want to focus on the Among the Stars universe. Revolution Among the Stars has been sent to the beta readers that made Missing Among the Stars the best it could be. For those who are unaware, I usually use beta readers as both a quasi developmental editor because they are extremely helpful at spotting issues.

I've also, and a major thanks to my little brother for this, have made some revisions to Missing Among the Stars and revamping it. I don't like to release art that is not the best it can be. That being said, lots of reviews had comments about pacing, length, aliens, etc. As a result, I have made a few changes to the novel here and there and have updated it consistently (which is why if you have it on Kindle it will say it updated!). Nothing major, I haven't retconned anything and I will do everything I can to avoid that.

I do have a few novellas I want to write this summer and I hope to have a repository of them so I can release several over the course of a few months. I have one based on Roko's Basilisk (a terrifying thought experiment), one tentatively called "A Cure Across the Horizon," which I want to keep a bit closer to the chest, an anthology series based on a dead Earth, and lastly, Revolution Among the Stars & it's sequel which is unnamed.

Are you planning to continue the blog?

You know, I am not sure. I really like doing it, but I don't want to have a bunch of blog posts that do feel meaningful. I want to make sure that everything I post has a purpose, you know? I am planning to post more of my Goodreads' reviews here, but I don't want to flood it with just book review either. So, in short, maybe. It won't be a lot of articles just because I don't want to write to write, I want to write to have something to share.

What are you currently enjoying?

Well dear reader, I am very happy you asked. I am currently reading Harry Potter and Order of the Phoenix for the first time. I am trying to finish the Harry Potter series before the new park opens in Universal! I am not a fan of J.K. Rowling's politics, but I do like the book (minus a random line where she uses the word "ejaculate" to mean "said" or "exclaimed). As for more science fiction, I just read Forever War, which was interesting. It wasn't for me but I can appreciate a well written book, which it was. On Audiobooks I am listening to Red Rising which is really different than I had expected. It's more feudal than I liked but I hope that changes a bit but so far I enjoy it.

As for TV shows I just watched Paradise on Hulu, Traitors on Peacock, and Zero Day on Netflix. I enjoyed them in that order. As for movies, I saw Mickey 17 which I LOVED and will plan on reading soon. Video games I am playing "It Takes Two" and want to play "Split Fiction." I also have been playing a lot of pokemon, God of War, Marvel Rivals, and Runescape (both old school and new school).

I am so excited to release Revolution Among the Stars. I have the cover done, the first (edited) draft that I plan to revise revise revise until July 1, 2025, and release on July 31, 2025.
